2008 Dodge Nitro
The Dodge Nitro is definitely an attention-grabber, on the road and off it, with its unique shape and great features. The mid-sized SUV is a great way to go if you want a decent ride, comfort and great safety measures. It comes in both 2WD and 4WD options. You can choose from the SXT and the SLT trims in both options. SLT comes with an optional R/T package, which can increase the price a bit, but is worth it.

Both SXT and SLT trims come with 210-hp, 3.7 litre V6 engines. SXT gives you a six-speed manual transmission, but you have the option of a four-speed automatic. The SLT trim comes with four-speed automatic transmission. You will also have the option of an R/T package that will give you an SLT trim with a 260-hp, 4.0 litre engine and a five-speed automatic transmission. These are the higher end models, but definitely give you a better ride.

Unfortunately, the fuel efficiency in the Dodge Nitro is not up to par with the likes of Chevrolet and Toyota, so unless you can afford around $400 (€ 250) or more on fuel every month, the Dodge Nitro is not for you.
The interior design of the Dodge Nitro is not luxurious, but is comfortable and well-worth the price you pay for the vehicle. The raised seating position, smart styling, great cabin design and a useful and clever boot sets it apart. The 2008 Dodge Nitro comes with a satellite radio, as well, to make sure that you have a smooth and fun ride.

The safety features in the 2008 Dodge Nitro are a definite improvement over previous models– five stars rating from the US NHTSA for driver and front passenger safety speaks for itself. Front impact and overhead airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, anti lock breaks with controlled break pressure are just some of the things that assure your safety. Additional security measures include an anti-theft engine disabling system.
