2008 Jeep Liberty
The 2008 Jeep Liberty looks more rugged and more capable of tackling anything an off-road adventure could throw in its way, but it’s not exactly the family dream car. The new Jeep Liberty is obviously more catered for rough-and-tumble driving. It still looks like the classic Jeep with all the features of the earlier models, though the four-cylinder option has been dropped in the latest model. The two trims are Sport and Limited Edition and both have 2WD or 4WD options.

All Jeep Liberty 2008 models have 210-hp, 3.7 litre V6 engines, iron-block and aluminium head, with a towing capacity of 5000 pounds. The Sport trim comes with a six-speed manual transmission, but the Limited Edition comes with a four-speed automatic. You will have the option of a four-speed automatic on the Sport as well. Other options you can choose from include a full length durable fabric (reinforced acrylic fabric), open sun roof which is the largest in its category, rain-sensing wipers, a navigation system and a satellite radio. The open sun roof keeps the feel of the jeep while keeping it safe and sturdy as an off-road vehicle.

Safety and security measures in the 2008 Jeep Liberty are top of the line. Front impact and overhead airbags to protect you from injuries in case of impact, anti lock brakes with modulated brake pressure, seatbelt pretensioners to keep you safe in case your seat belts are loose at the time of impact, electronic stability control in case the driver loses control of the vehicle, electronic roll mitigation and all-speed traction control are some of the safety features to make sure that you have a safe ride. Security measures include an ignition disable device, as a countermeasure for theft attempts.
The average retail dealership pricing for the 2008 Jeep Liberty is $20,500 (€13,200) to $27,500 (€17,700), depending on the exact trim.
