2008 Jeep Wrangler
2008 Jeep Wrangler by Suv-Reviews.net
When it comes to off-the-road vehicles, the 2008 Jeep Wrangler is the last word. Larger, more powerful and sturdier than the earlier models, now Jeep Wrangler is available in a four door variant as well as the traditional two door ones. The two door Wranglers are 4WD. The trims are X, Sahara and Rubicon. Unlimited is the four door variant, with trims X, Sahara and Rubicon – 2WD or 4WD on the first two, only 4WD on Rubicon. Wrangler X, in North America, is a right-hand drive.

The 2008 Jeep Wrangler comes with a 202-hp 3.8 litre V6, with a six-speed manual transmission, with an option of four-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler X, RHD, in North America, comes with a four-speed automatic transmission. The two door Wrangler is a couple of inches shorter than the earlier versions, which allows better departure and approach angles, but the wheelbase of the Wrangler is significantly larger now, for the four door versions.
The new, sturdier look extends to the color of the exterior – available in Detonator Yellow for Wrangler X and Sahara. Wrangler Rubicon and Sahara can also be soft top convertibles – the soft tops are part of standard equipment. The Wrangler Rubicon is the ultimate off-the-road vehicle – the heavy-duty axles and the extremely low gearing are not for amateurs to play with.

Front impact bags, energy-absorbing steering column, seat belt pretensioners, four wheel anti-lock brakes and stability control are some of the main safety features that have made the Wrangler the most trusted off-the-road vehicles ever produced. The comfort of the Wrangler has also been improved with more comfortable seats and a navigation system.
