2008 Suzuki XL7
The distinctive feature of the 2008 Suzuki XL7 is the seating – it takes advantage of an extended wheelbase and allows for seven to be comfortably seated, giving you a great crossover SUV which still doesn’t give you the hassle of a full-size SUV. The Suzuki XL7 comes in four trims – Base, Premium, Luxury and Limited. The standard Suzuki XL7 comes with a front wheel drive, but an electronically controlled All-Wheel Drive system is an option for the trims Premium, Luxury and Limited.

All Suzuki XL7 trims have a standard 252-hp, 3.6 litre V6 engines. All trims also come with five-speed automatic transmission, with a manual shift mode. The seven seaters also have the added features of underfloor cargo, since the third row will take up cargo space, and rear air-conditioning. The Luxury model lives up to its name – leather, heat regulated front seats and wood accents. The Limited trim adds to this – it comes with fog lamps, rear spoiler, with the third row seat becoming a standard as well as satellite radio, a navigation system and full scale DVD entertainment. All trims have privacy glass, a thumping six-speaker CD system, a rear vision camera and automatic climate control.

The security measures are also some of the best security measures in any SUV. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Association rated it five stars for both driver and passenger safety. Apart from standard safety measures like side-curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes and electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability system and superior traction control, it has a monitoring system for tyre pressure and features like child seat tether anchors, a security system that includes a panic alarm and an engine immobiliser in case of theft attempts.
